Review: Genesis by C.A. Rene

Title: Genesis
Author: C.A. Rene
Genre: Horror
Type: Standalone novella from Inferno World
POV: First Person – Female

Francine Hunter was raised with a silver spoon, but deep down inside she never felt belonged. Armed with a DNA test, she searched for her roots but found more than she bargained for.

“Child, I mean, there are demons inside the Greenes.”

I liked how this book is different than the other Inferno World books I’ve read. It is a story within a story, and for the length, it worked. While the story felt mild, the ending helped make up for it.

Genesis is a story of dark family history. It would appeal to readers who enjoy a quick horror read.
