Review: Layla by Colleen Hoover

Title: Layla
Author: Colleen Hoover
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Standalone
POV: First Person – Male

Leeds Gabriel and Layla met at a B&B and quickly fell hard for each other. However, their whirlwind Romance ground to a halt by an unfortunate incident that shifted their relationship. In an attempt to reacquire their old lives, they went back to the B&B to reconnect. But what they found could potentially destroy their future.

This book got me curious, and I did not expect the story to be incredibly romantic. I’ve always have a soft spot when it comes to a certain element in a story, and I felt the pull in this one even before it was revealed.

I thought for sure she was the one. I felt it in my bones. Now all I feel is remorse, because it wasn’t until ten seconds ago that I realized I’ve already moved on to another cycle.

I was drawn to Leeds right from the beginning. I shared his curiosity and his dilemma even when he was doing questionable things. I also felt for Layla on how much her life changed, and I thought the author managed to weave the different elements regarding her in the story quite seamlessly.

Layla is a story of love and sacrifices. It would appeal to readers looking for a Paranormal Romance with mystery and suspense.

Final Verdict:
