ARC Review: Learn My Lesson by Katee Robert

A single night with Meg and I’m willing to do anything to save her from Hades, the man holding her captive, victim to his every whim.

A bargain with the devil himself seems a small price to pay in order for Meg to go free… Until I learn that she’s exactly where she wants to be.

She’s Queen to Hades’s King.

And I’m the fool that walked right into their trap.

The same fool who desires them both as much as I hate them. I can’t resist Meg’s touch—or stop from being drawn to Hades’s dark desires. By the time I realize just how deep a game he’s playing, it may be too late…

For all of us.

I want to break him into a thousand sharp pieces, to drag him down into the dark with the rest of us, but I can’t help appreciating the very thing I want to ruin.

With his life turnaround, Hercules couldn’t afford to crave for things he couldn’t have. That didn’t stop him from being drawn to the dangerously alluring but in distress Megaera. However, if he chose to walk that path, he had to deal with Hades, the untouchable lord of the Underworld whose magnetism was as deadly as his reputation.

Before I start, I have to say this. I’ve always love Greek mythology and Hercules is my favorite Disney hero. Those facts didn’t make me biased, instead, it made me more critical of the content. I’m glad to say this one passed with flying colors.

We were made for each other, two twisted trees that grew to lean on each other to the point where they won’t survive alone.

What I loved the most about this book is the dynamics between the characters. Each of them served a purpose and I enjoyed the author’s interpretation of the original story. I also appreciated how the author played with their level of vulnerabilities and confidence.

I become a rutting beast, my entire focus narrowing down to filling and being filled. I can’t stop. I can’t slow down. I can’t do anything but fuck.

MMF is my favorite kind of poly relationship. This one was scorching, combined with various positions that kept it interesting and made me a satisfied reader lol! As for the ending, I felt it was a little too abrupt and was hoping for a grander finale, but it didn’t take away my overall enjoyment of the storyline.

Learn My Lesson is a story of balancing wants and needs. It would appeal to readers looking for an adult reimagined version of fairytale innocence and Greek mythology.
